The most glamorous of careers often hide the most piteous stories underneath. Lolo Jones, athlete of the USA and World hurdles, has earned this status after many years of dedication and perseverance. Jones was born to a motherless family that included five kids living suffering from poverty and hardships as a youngster, experienced an incredibly difficult childhood. Her mother was constantly moving and stayed for a while in the basement of the church. A life of constant movement forced Jones to switch to an entirely new school each year up until her first day of high school. Jones loved to participate in track and field events during her time at Theodore Roosevelt the high school lived in a different place from her mother so that she could pursue her interests. Jones lived with 4 different families to keep her study focused. Jones was awarded her the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Athlete of the Year Award during her time at school. She also was an active member of the school orchestra as a cello player. Jones was one of the top hurdlers in her first year of college. She became the winning athlete in the 100-meter hurdles during the NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones was also part of the second team to win the 100-meter relay. In 2003 and 2004, Jones took home the indoor hurdles event at the NCAA Championship. Jones has been training since 2005, when she completed her studies. Jones was the winner of Torino Memorial in 2005, and also Ostrava and Heusden tracks events the following year.

Brandt moved to Auckland, New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in late adolescence. Brandt, identified by local casting agencies she was offered the leading part of Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Her character was popular with audiences and producers Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a cult comic book character on Vertigo/DC, as well as on the Netflix hit series Lucifer for six years. Forbes recognized Lucifer for 2021 and declared it the series that had the highest quantity of people who watched it on a binge. Brandt is set to next appear alongside Andrew Lincoln in the limited Walking Dead 6 episode spin-off which will premiere in 2024. She will also be starring alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated comedy Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt was born 2nd December 1981 in Cape Town South Africa. She is a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt along with the rest of her family relocated to Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. The year 1999, in Auckland Brandt was initially a Retailer, then got promoted to IT Management Consultant. After several modeling assignments, Lesley appeared in many commercials. She graduated in 2008 from her majors and studied Meisner study methods. Lesley's debut prominent role in New Zealand was as a TV actor on Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street as a supporting visitor character. Then she was in the sci-fi drama arrangement This Is Not My Life which is based upon the anecdotal town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teen hostage and later depicts in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
